Crape Myrtle or Pride of India

A stunning, deciduous ornamental tree, Lagerstroemia Indica is loved for its showy, long-lasting summer flowers that come in shades of pink, white, red, or purple.

Its smooth, peeling bark and vibrant autumn foliage add year-round interest. 

This tree is wind-resistant and moderately frost-tolerant but needs protection in very exposed areas.

It can handle coastal conditions if planted in a sheltered spot and does well in well-drained soil.

While not ideal for screening due to its relatively open branching, it makes an excellent feature tree, adding color and elegance to gardens of all sizes.
